A wiki is software that allows users to collaboratively create, edit, link and organise the content of a website, usually for reference material. Wikis are often used to create collaborative websites and to power community websites. These wiki websites are often also referred to as wikis, with Wikipedia being one of the best known examples. Wikis are used in many businesses to provide affordable and effective intranets and for knowledge management.
We have created this wiki for the Australian Innovation Community to use as a scratchpad for collaboratively creating proposals for the National Innovation Review, to document previous proposals and new submissions. We also hope that it will be used to discuss projects and resources that are available to the community, building a robust knowledgebase that will help streamline the innovation process in Australia by increasing transparency.
Our wiki is currently only available to members of this website, so please register or log in. Once you are logged in, please read the Getting Started page. We also have some guidelines and some formatting examples to help get you into the swing of things.
Wiki (/wiːkiː/) is a Hawaiian word for "fast" which was chosen because of the relative simplicity of collaborating in a wiki environment and the speed with which progress can be made.
