Dr John Linacre, an Honorary Associate Professor of the University
of Sydney, and the research director of US software developer, Winsteps.com, proposes Australia makes a number of policy changes to become a leader in digital software distribution.
He argues that whoever controls distribution of a product, has some level of control over the product.
He says that the infrastructure is already being put in place, our stable dollar is an assets and distributing out of Australia could avoid some of the complexities of operating out of Europe.
