Abstract
“This Paper describes the concept of an Australian Innovation Corporation (‘AIC’) (working name), proposed as a Government‐owned corporation to be a resource to implement innovations in Australia where markets, for various reasons, may not be effective. It is not envisaged that the AIC would compete with other organisations in the field of innovation, such as the ICIC Program, but it would act where others may not be able to. It would act as the prime mover and also as the delivery mechanism both opportunistically and in programs to implement innovations in Government policy target areas.”
