Abstract
“IMC believes that if the following suggestions were adopted, then the ability for innovative Australian organisations to access both government and private equity funding would be greatly improved leading to a wider uptake of the research and development and eventual product commercialisation. It should be emphasised that the programs are a critical part of these companies ability to undertake and commercialised R&D and if they were withdrawn or reduced it would leave a substantial funding deficit in the market place and reduce the companies’ ability to develop new technologies for both domestic and international markets.”
The submission includes proposals for the following programs:
- R&D Tax Concession Scheme
- Commercial Ready and Commercial Ready Plus
- Early Stage Venture Capital Limited Partnership (ESVCLP)
- Commercialising Emerging Technologies (COMET)
- Food Innovation Grants
- Renewable Energy Development Initiative (REDI)
- Energy Efficiency Opportunities (EEO)
