Abstract
“Having worked in technical roles in manufacturing industries for over 20 years I have found that most of the solutions to problems encountered along the way come from the men and women on the factory floor if they are given the chance to participate and they trust you enough to confide in you to enable the idea to be taken to the next level ... The main focus at the moment seems to revolve around government bodies, big industries and experts at the leading edge of a particular scientific endeavour. I believe if we could open this up to everyone regardless of position in society and level of expertise we may just come up with a much wider range of possibilities to allow the experts to explore.”
